My Prediction
Salavat Yulaev Ufa by 3Well, folks, we got a clash of titans match here between Sibir Novosibirsk and Salavat Yulaev Ufa. With the keeper information mysteriously absent from both rosters, I'll just assume each team has decided to employ a scarecrow in net, should really level the playing field.
On the Sibir side, the caliber of players is evident. The triple threat of Taylor Beck, Sergei Shirokov, and Andy Andreoff with their season stats of 15 goals, 18 goals, and 20 goals respectively seem to be the lone glimmers of hope for the team, perhaps they've been carrying the team, Perhaps on their backs. Though, I suppose transport is irrelevant as long as it gets you to your destination.
On the other side of the pond, that is, the rink, Salavat claims a solid set of top players as well. Josh Leivo, an intimidating skater, ripped a staggering 48 goals this season, along with Sheldon Rempal and Alexander Chmelevski rounding out a strong offensive line-up.
The past encounters between these two teams appear to favor Salavat, who delivered a resounding 7-0 wallop to Sibir, something very much resembling a cat playing with a half-dead mouse. Add to this Salavat's superior regular season record and recent victories, and you've got a bobcat versus a housecat kind of situation.
