Severstal Cherepovets by 1
Oh brother, do I have something to share with you! You are about to watch a Kontinental Hockey League slugfest between Severstal Cherepovets and Admiral Vladivostok. The anticipation!
Severstal Cherepovets is packing a punch with their dominant top players showing a goal-rain this season. Taking the stage are Kirill Pilipenko, Danil Aimurzin, and Nikita Korostelyov who have been dealing some serious damage to the net. They've been relentless with those pucks and have been distributing assists just as generously.
Over on the other side of the ice, Admiral Vladivostok, too, has a trio of kings. Keep your eyes peeled for Daniil Gutik, who's been an assists-machine, as well as Stepan Starkov and Dmitry Zavgorodniy, both of whom have a pretty decent rapport with the net.
Now when it comes to goalkeepers, we are facing an unbelievable reality. Neither Severstal's Konstantin Shostak nor Alexander Samoilov have made a single save this season. How am I not a goalkeeper yet? On the other end, Andrei Mishurov hasn't done better for Vladivostok but Vasili Demchenko seems to finally have found the net with 26 saves.
Looking at the history between these two teams, Severstal Cherepovets snatched victory twice in their last encounters. Seems like once was not enough, so they did it twice.
As for the regular season, it's a pretty close game but Cherepovets seems to be having a slight edge here. They have an 8-7 win-loss record as compared to Vladivostok's evenly balanced 6-6 record.
Based on recent performances, Cherepovets seems to be on an upward trajectory with three big wins. Vladivostok, on the other hand, seems to be on a rollercoaster ride with significant ups and downs. I'd recommend they buckle up!
Given player performances, past matchups, recent results, and regular season records, I'm placing my bets squarely with:
