Daejeon Hana Citizen by 1Ahem, now as we all pretend we don't have a pile of laundry behind us waiting to be folded, let’s circle the wagons around this upcoming game between the Daejeon Hana Citizen and the towering FC Seoul. Now someone once said, "don't judge a book by its cover," well maybe they just hadn't met FC Seoul. They've managed to sear their trademark into the game spot with a record just as balanced as my diet around the Christmas season, 3 wins, 5 draws, and 4 losses.
Then we have Daejeon Hana Citizen. They've been mopping the floor with their opponents like some high-powered vacuum cleaner, racking up 8 wins, 3 draws, and just 2 losses. Just like my grandma's apple pie, they've been consistent and always on the mark.
Our history buff fans would remember some epic battles between these two in the past. It's been a tough grind with scores see-sawing more than a kid-filled playground, and they're neck and neck in the recent confrontations with a tie in April 2025 and a victory margin of just one for Daejeon back in September 2024.
But let's put our Sherlock Holmes hat for recent performances. FC Seoul's form is dropping faster than a bungee jumper over a canyon. A draw against FC Anyang and losses to Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, Pohang Steelers, Gwangju FC, doesn't paint a rosy picture. Meanwhile, Daejeon Hana Citizen seems to have found the secret sauce with a draw against Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors and back-to-back wins against FC Anyang, Gangwon FC, Gimcheon Sangmu FC, making them look like the better bet here.
