My Prediction
Rajasthan Royals to winWith the Super Kings and the Royals sticking to each other like glue at the bottom of the standings, it's like witnessing two rocks trying to out-sink each other in a garden pond. We have to dig a bit deeper than a daisy's root to make this prediction.
Review the past matchups, and you'll notice the wins are equally distributed. It's like they enjoy keeping us on our toes, or maybe they just have a perverse sense of humor. Seriously though, the Royals bagged the most recent win in this pair, but not with a margin to make the Super Kings lose sleep.
Their regular season records are exactly the same, which doesn't offer us much. And their recent results, well let's just say the only thing they seem to be consistent in is managing to lose their games. It's like watching a marathon of tragic comedies play out on the cricket field. Ironically, the Royals seems to put more runs on the board, but alas it's like bringing a monster truck to a bike race and still finishing second.
The Super Kings on the other hand, well apart from their recent comeback win against Kolkata Knight Riders which has a taste of redemption, the general taste of their games leans more towards sour limes than sweet oranges.
Given the odds and our analysis, making a prediction feels like choosing the better of two prolonged toothaches, but hey, someone has to.
