Olympiacos by 7Despite the copious amounts of mozzarella on my spaghetti, the flavor I'm picking up here is a whole lot of "Olympiacos." These fellas are perched comfortably at the #1 spot in the Euroleague standings, while Real Madrid BC is idling at a "golly-gee-if-I-squint-I-can-see-the-top" #7 spot. Just looking at the numbers, anyone with eyes in their head could spot who's been putting up better figures lately.
In their recent matchups, Olympiacos has proved to be quite the Pablo Picasso, painting a masterpiece of dominance over Real Madrid BC, winning 3 out of the last 5 games. Seems like Real Madrid BC has been playing tag with their shadow, while Olympiacos is cruising in a convertible with the wind in their hair.
The recent results of these two teams also speak volumes. Keeping in mind that recent history can often be a better judge than the town gossip, Olympiacos seems to have hit a bit of a pothole in their last five. But they still come out on top, showing their resilience against adversity like a 5-year-old against a bowl of broccoli.
On the other side, Real Madrid BC seems to be on a roller-coaster with more ups and downs than a seesaw in a neighborhood park.
So looking at all this jazz, it's hard not to lean towards Olympiacos. But, sports ain't a straightforward game, folks. It's like asking your crush out; you can make an educated guess, but at the end of the day, you're throwing spaghetti at the wall and hoping it sticks.
