My Prediction
Olympiacos by 3Barcelona is going to have a tough opponent in Olympiacos, there's no doubt about it. They're rollin' like a juggernaut, dominating the #1 spot in Euroleague standings, which is a stark contrast to Barcelona's struggle to keep their head above water at #8. Olympiacos, with a solid 18-7 regular season record, is clearly punching above Barcelona's weight of 14-11.
With Olympiacos coming from a victory against Paris, it's clear they're not ones to relax on their laurels. Barcelona, however, should be licking their wounds after a commendable victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv. Well chose Barcelona, nicely done!
Now, allow me to introduce you to a few gentlemen who've been setting the court on fire. Sasha Vezenkov and Evan Fournier have been absolutely stellar for Olympiacos. Vezenkov's season stats shine with an average 20.4 points per game, and Fournier is not far behind, contributing solidly with his 21.8 points per game for the last month.
For Barcelona, they've got their own backyard heroes in Kevin Punter and Chimezie Metu. Punter with an average of 16 points per game and Metu clocking in an average of 12 points per game over the last month. An impressive lineup indeed!
