Barcelona by 5There’s no doubt we’re all excited for the Anadolu Efes and Barcelona matchup. This game certainly brings some key players to the forefront. Over at Efes, keep an eye on Shane Larkin. Despite his underwhelming stats this month, he’s still a force to be reckoned with, averaging 10.7 points per game. Elijah Bryant continues to impress with his consistency, delivering 13.3 points per game in the last month. Not far behind, we've got Vincent Poirier and his steady 9.7 points to consider, too.
Turning to the Barcelona side of things, Jabari Parker has been nothing short of fantastic, with 15.0 points average — not at all paltry. Kevin Punter, barely missing the mark set by Parker, averages a cool 14.7 points. We also should not forget Mr. Chimezie Metu who's busy pulling down 6.0 rebounds on average a game lately.
Let's mull over the history between these two teams. The two faced off last year with wins flipping like a light switch. A quick glance at their regular season records, we see Anadolu Efes with 10 wins and 11 losses, whereas Barcelona has a slightly better 12-9.
In recent weeks, Efes seems to have found themselves on the loser's side. Meanwhile, Barcelona seems to have found their stride, with the exception of a couple of minor blips on their radar. I mean let's face it, nobody's perfect.
Standings-wise, Anadolu Efes finds themselves lounging around at #13 in the Euroleague while Barcelona has been constantly elbowing their way through to #6. Now let's speculate a bit here, shall we?
