My Prediction
Žalgiris by 6Ah, EuroLeague basketball...the place where dreams are made, folks! But let's talk about the game at hand, shall we? Virtus Bologna are trotting over to Žalgiris' side of the court. Perfect setting for a showdown, no?
Now, Virtus' performance has been, shall we say, less than spectacular this season. They've only managed to chalk up 6 wins against 14 losses. I mean, seriously boys, what's going on there? A turnover in team management might not be the worst idea. We've seen some admirable demonstrations from Isaia Cordinier and William Clyburn. Good old Isaia, always reliable with his 13.6 points per game these days while Clyburn has been having a go at pumps and posts with his 13.3 points per game.
On the other hand, Žalgiris isn’t exactly painting the town red either at 10-10, but they've had the upper hand in their recent historical matchups with Virtus. And in case you've been living under a rock the last month, Sylvain Francisco has been ripping it up with a cool 16 points per game average and Lonnie Walker IV, despite the name, isn't running anywhere except circuits around the competition, notching up 11 points per game.
In summary, let's face it, Virtus Bologna, currently sitting undesirably at 16th in the Euroleague, against Žalgiris at 11th...well, it's like asking a Chihuahua to win the heavyweight title. It's just not going to happen, folks.
