Monaco Basket by 7Ah, there's nothing like a hefty dose of EuroLeague basketball to get your blood pumping. This showdown between Bayern Munich and Monaco Basket is destined to be a blinder!
This season, Monaco Basket is favored, and it's easy to see why. They've managed to put together a strong enough team to grind their way to the #2 spot in the Euroleague, while Bayern Munich is nipping at their heels at #3. Both teams are boasting a Record of 10-5, making this matchup more interesting than a bag of mixed nuts.
Alpha Diallo and Mike James have been kicking up some dust for Monaco. Diallo has been scoring like it's going out of style, averaging 16.3 points per game in the last month. And let's not forget about Mike James. This guy spent the last month serving up assists like hotcakes, tallying 7.6 per game.
On the Bayern side of things, we got Devin Booker and Carsen Edwards. Booker has been pretty consistent, cynically refusing to crack under pressure with an impressive 16.6 PPG last month. Edwards, meanwhile, chalks up a match-winning 20 points every game like its child's play.
Digging into the past though, Monaco has been a thorn in Bayern's side, beating them in the last two games. Seems like Bayern Munich is facing their own personal Goliath. But we all know how that Biblical showdown ended, don't we?
In their recent performances, Bayern had a hiccup losing to Anadolu Efes and KK Crvena, but rebounded superbly with victories over Maccabi Tel Aviv and Saski Baskonia. On the Monaco front, the victories over Fenerbahçe and Alba Berlin speak of a skill and tenacity that's harder to crack than a coconut.
Let's cut to the chase, shall we? Considering all the different factors, I believe Monaco's domination will continue, but Bayern's gonna give 'em a run for their money.
