Saracens by 3It's your favorite blabbermouth back again, with another keen-eyed dissection on an upcoming sporting showdown. This time, it's round 8, in the English Premiership, with the Saracens going up against Northampton Saints.
The history between these two has seen some tight clenched affairs, heavy on the nail-biting. However, the Saints have been edging the Saracens out in the head-to-head tally recently. Yes, it's been more Saint-ly than Saracen in the last few encounters.
But hey, hold your horses before jumping onto the Saintly bandwagon. We aren't done yet. The Saracens have been doing better overall this season, sitting pretty at the 4th spot compared to the Saints, who are just calculating how to reclaim their lost halo at number 8. Also, the Saints might need to call a morale-boosting sermon post their recent inconsistent plays.
Switching over to the Saracens, they aren't really basking in glory either. They have been dropping points recently, losing out on their last two encounters, which might be a bit of a concern for them. However, something tells me they're more like Rocky Balboa – maybe they've just been playing rope-a-dope, waiting for a big comeback.
At the end of the day, the bookies seem to have faith in the Saracens, and who am I to argue with people who make a living keeping the wrong end of the stick away from them? My prediction, right or wrong, is a foregone conclusion:
