Right off the bat, Inter is commanding a lot of respect from everyone, including yours truly. Yann Sommer, their goalkeeper, is not bad himself with a 6.80 rating and 4 saves. However, Fábio is holding the fort quite tightly for the Fluminense with 7 saves and an impressive 6.93 rating. Not a lot separates the two gents but Fábio has had a busier desk, that's for sure.
Inter's attack, led by Lautaro Martínez with 2 goals, and Francesco Pio Esposito, is no joke, folks. Nicolò Barella is another talent, despite the lack of goals. Though goals seem to be scarce among the Fluminense players, Jhon Arias is one to watch out for, an astonishing 8.1 rating and an accurate pass percentage of 91.0. It's not too shabby for a guy who's a bit downcast for not finding the net more often. Gabriel Fuentes and Keno, each with a 7.50 and 7.35 rating, make up a solid defensive team.
Taking a gander at the recent results, Inter seems to have found a rhythm with a solid string of victories, while Fluminense has drawn blanks in their recent playoffs. Makes you wonder if they're conserving their energy or if they're just stumped.
Having said that, though Inter has had a better run in the tournament with a record of 2 wins and a draw, Fluminense hasn't lost a game either, with one win and two draws under their belts.
Now to drag myself out of my comfort zone and make a prediction, keeping in mind all those factors along with that top-secret spreadsheet data I have here (which you're not supposed to know about). This game is looking like a hard-fought battle with each team holding its ground. A high chance of some groan-inducing moments and nail-biting suspense. A slugfest with both teams weathering a storm.
