Peering into the murky cauldron of football fortune-telling here as we look at the upcoming match between Chengdu Rongcheng and Cangzhou Mighty Lions. Shall we?
Chengdu Rongcheng has been performing quite impressively, winning 10 of their fixtures this season, with a couple of draws and only four losses. Canny goalkeeper, Jian Tao, has been keeping it pretty tight between the sticks with 3 saves and a reasonable 6.80 rating.
But their ace in the hole is clearly Rômulo. The lad is a dynamo on the field with a stellar 9.40 rating and has already found the back of the net twice in the last month. Complimenting Rômulo, we have Timo Letschert and Yahav Gurfinkel, both putting up fairly decent numbers.
Now, shifting our gaze over at the Cangzhou Mighty Lions, they've had a bit of a rough time with only four wins under their belt. And get this, they've kissed their sister on three occasions (that's draws for those who don't speak ‘color commentator’).
Their glovemen, Puliang Shao and Rongze Han, boast 7.40 and 6.10 ratings respectively. But it's nice to see they're saving something, even if it's not the game. And speaking of saving, their top players like Georgy Zhukov and Dalun Zheng would do well to save their shooting boots for the match. Great pass percentages guys, but maybe aim it at the goal next time.
Looking at the recent history, there’s a bit of a hiccup for Chengdu Rongcheng with Cangzhou Mighty Lions narrowly edging them out 1-0 in their last meeting. But Chengdu has been roaring louder recently in terms of overall performance.
Given Chengdu Rongcheng's stronger form and the Mighty Lions' lack of bite in their attack, I'd say it's about time for a bit of retribution. I’ll leave it at that, and now your fortune's told.
Albert’s Prediction: Chengdu Rongcheng by 3
