My Prediction
Borussia Dortmund by 2Okay, listen up because I'm only going to say this once. Borussia Dortmund comes into this under the safe hands of Gregor Kobel between the posts. Shakhtar Donetsk though, they've got the diligent Dmytro Riznyk in goal, so don't expect it to be easy pickings for Dortmund.
Doing the tango in Donetsk's midfield is Irakli Azarovi, with an unmatched accurate passing percentage and Kevin, who's not just another brick in the wall with 2 noteworthy goals. On the Dortmund side of the pitch, we have the young prodigy Karim Adeyemi who can't seem to stop scoring and Serhou Guirassy, who's basically the human embodiment of a heat-seeking missile with his 7 playoffs goals.
However, I hate to be the bearer of painfully obvious news but Borussia Dortmund has had the hotter hand in the league stage with a superior tournament record. Also, let's not forget Dortmund's recent tryst with victory against GNK Dinamo Zagreb where they triumphed 3-0. Shakhtar Donetsk had a good run against Stade Brestois, but can they hold the liners against the solid Dortmund attack?
My tea leaves are clear, Borussia Dortmund are the favorites here. Just remember folks, the house always wins and so does the bookie.
