Liaoning Flying Leopards by 15If your hair was ever too neat and your day too perfect, a thrilling matchup like Guangzhou Loong Lions going up against Liaoning Flying Leopards ought to ripple that tranquility. History, like a nagging spouse, reminds us that the past encounters aren't exactly in the Loong Lions' favor. Sigh! Just for a recap, our Leopards trashed the lions with scores of 120-88, 109-103 and 93-76. To put it mildly, it's been a one-sided love affair.
Combing through the regular season data, Liaoning is strutting around with a 7-2 record, whereas our underdog, Guangzhou, comes in with a less-than-inspiring 2-6. It seems like the Lions have been biting off more than they can chew recently. On top of the ladder, the Loong Lions are merely 17th place, which is like being on the second page of Google search, whereas our high-flying Leopards are sitting at a comfortable 4th place. It's like having your waist size smaller than your age, you know you're doing good.
Moving onto the players, for the Guangzhou Loong Lions, Ailun Guo and Davion Warren have been lighting it up with 25.0 and 24.0 points per game respectively over the last month. They would have to turn water into wine to upset the Leopards though. And on the other side, Kyle Fogg, scoring 22.0 points per game and Jo Lual Acuil Jr with 13.8 points per game and a whopping 9.3 rebounds per game last month took Liaoning's game to a whole new level.
The Liaoning Flying Leopards are clearly the better option here with their impressive player stats and team records. But hey, it's sports, anything can and will happen. Now, that's just the way it is, folks... I mean, sports enthusiasts.
