My Prediction
Fluminense by 1Oh, hurray! It's a Brasileiro Série A matchup between Fluminense and Vitória, surely what we’ve all been waiting for with bated breath.
In the goalkeeper department, Vitória has been showing off with Lucas Arcanjo and Gabriel Vasconcelos making 16 and 2 saves respectively while maintaining decent ratings. Fluminense is hanging in there as well; Fábio has made a respectable 8 saves with a rating of 6.87.
Turning our attention to the top players, Vitória is championed by Jamerson and Erick who might not be scoring goals, but have managed some pretty solid accurate pass percentages at 88 and 78 respectively. Matheuzinho also deserves a nod, putting up a 6.93 rating, and bagging 2 goals.
On the opposing side, Fluminense is led by Renê and Samuel Xavier, both sporting ratings above 7 and making those goals count. Let's not forget Guga, though. He's not getting shots on goal, but he's still working effectively, passing with 88.7% accuracy, which isn’t too shabby.
So, looking at the history, Vitória has come out on top in the past two clashes, that has to count for something, right? However, a gander at regular season records and recent results, Fluminense clearly has an edge. They’ve managed to secure 3 wins, compared to Vitória’s single triumph.
