Hilarious how these two are at it again. It's a ping pong match, back and forth they go. So we've got Elina Avanesyan, unrated, but don't you dare let that fool you. The woman is a spitfire on the court. Now, she's tallied up a win against dear Caroline Dolehide this year and with seeming ease, I may add. Recent playdates seem to tally in Avanesyan's favor. Her performance, however, has been in the grey territory with a tally of three wins against two losses lately.
And then we have Caroline, the gallant thirty-third seed. Now, Dolehide appears to be in a bit of a slump. Tsk tsk. Her win ratio isn't doing her any favor, the ledger reads a concerning one victory against four losses. Plenty of room for improvement, wouldn't you agree?
Given the past performances, it seems that Avanesyan has a sentimental attachment to winning when pitted against Dolehide. Also considering recent results, the odds generously tip in Avanesyan's favor, despite Dolehide having the seed advantage. But as we all know, numbers aren't always the whole story in tennis.
So, even though Dolehide has probably been practicing her backhand in the mirror, imagining sweet victory, my sincerest apologies to her fanbase, because it's looking like Elina Avanesyan could pocket this match. Now of course, it's tennis, so expect some resistance, my dear gamblers.
Albert’s Prediction: Avanesyan in 3 sets.
