Orix Buffaloes by 2Ah, ladies and gents, we've got a little Nippon Professional Baseball action headed your way with the Orix Buffaloes trotting over to the Chiba Lotte Marines’ turf. Now if I had a yen for every time this went well for the team playing on the road!
The Buffaloes have been faring fairly well this season, but their last embarking to Chiba was as pretty as a three-legged cat, getting shut out 8-0 by the Marines. However, chew on this: that loss hasn't marred an overall better season record for the Buffaloes.
In fact, those sporting the Orix jersey have got this little party trick where they occasionally demonstrate how baseball is played. Fancy that! Perhaps that's why they're looking a bit better in the standings, compared to the Marines' flurry of losses.
The recent outcome might have been grim for the Buffaloes, but history loves a good repeat show. And with my decades-long experience in baseball, I've often found that the cream has a way of rising to the top. The Buffaloes have a solid track record against the Marines, outperforming them in 3 of their last 5 matchups.
All things considered, it seems fair to presume that the Buffaloes might just stomp back over the Marines. Ah, but don't take it from me. I've been called crazier than a road lizard by my ex-wife, and she might not be wrong.
