Hanshin Tigers by 2Strap on your cleats for this one, ladies and gents! We have the ferocious Hanshin Tigers trotting in against the gritty Yomiuri Giants. Now, you might be immediately drawn to the Tigers’ regular season record, they've got 52 wins to Giants’ 41. Quite commendable, I must say.
Historically speaking, and history loves to repeat itself, the Tigers have been munching on the Giants like a twist cone in the heat of July. Tigers have taken all but one of the last five head-to-heads. That said, let’s not forget that unlucky encounter with the Chunichi Dragons. Woo boy, that was a rough patch for the Tigers.
Meanwhile, the Giants have been more like gentle hills than towering peaks, if recent form is anything to go by. They did snatch a win when it counted against the Tigers though, so let’s not dump all our apples in one barrel just yet.
Now, I don't want to tell you what to do, but it looks like the Tigers have a little extra fire in their belly, and when they're clawing, they're hardly ever subdued. These beasts are ruled by the jungle law, and it seems the Giants maybe the next prey.
