In their previous encounters, it seems like the two have developed quite the rivalry. Sure, the Swallows pecked out a victory in their most recent duel, but you can't overlook that Hiroshima has held their own in other batters, as they’ve been keeping the scores close. It's a bit like a soap opera, only with less drama and more sweat.
Now, if we take a gander at this season's record, the Hiroshima Carp swim ahead, flaunting a superior win-loss ratio against our feathered friends from Tokyo, who seem to be wallowing in the muck of defeat. Even for an underdog story, their journey looks more like a harrowing saga of misfortune.
Recently, both teams have had their highs and lows. The Swallows, to their credit, have recently picked themselves up from a fall, and on the other end, Hiroshima still stands tall despite a couple of stumbles.
But, let’s not hang about the bush here, in the grand scheme of things, the Hiroshima Carp have my prediction to be the ones reeling in a win.
Although, this is baseball folks, and like my third marriage, anything can happen. Predicting the margin might be a task and a half, but I'd say Hiroshima will clear it by, let’s say, two runs.
