In the upcoming Kontinental Hockey League match between CSKA Moscow and Spartak Moscow, It's shaping up to be a good old Ice ballet.
Let's take a closer look at our goalies. Over at the CSKA Moscow fort, we got Ivan Prosvetov and Dmitri Gamzin, two very lonely guys with no saves. The same sad story continues onto the Spartak Moscow side with Patrik Rybar and Dmitri Nikolayev - zero, nada, zilch! They are either sipping tea during the games, or nobody shot at the goal. One can never tell.
Moving onto the key players, CSKA Moscow brings to the field guys like Vitali and Prokhor Poltapov, knocking in goals like it's a day job. Do not forget about Maxim Sorkin and Nikita Nesterov who are clocking in significant numbers as well. Over on the other side, Spartak Moscow's got Ivan Morozov and Mikhail Maltsev delivering the goods – the bread and butter you might say.
Looking at past encounters, it's been back and forth. They’re like two cats squabbling in an alleyway. Keep in mind, Spartak Moscow did come out on top in the last dance.
When it comes to the overall game, CSKA Moscow has been holding their ground with a solid 5-2, and Spartak Moscow is not far behind with 6-2. Not a bad performance on either end, huh?
So where does this place use in the grand ice covered scheme of things? Good question! Based on my obnoxious wisdom, I'm giving this match to CSKA Moscow. Why, you ask? Well, they've had strong recent performance, solid players on the field and past form to back it up. Who needs a goalie when you've got that, eh?
Albert’s Prediction: CSKA Moscow by 1
